Biography:
Prof Mayilone Graduated from RCSI receiving the Medal in Surgery in 1993. He obtained his FRCSI in 1997 and Masters in Surgery in 2001. Following Irish Higher Surgical Training he obtained CCST in General and Upper GI Surgery. He is a Consultant in Beaumont and Connolly Hospitals since 2009 and the Bon Secours Dublin.
Areas of Interest:
General Surgery – Investigation of abdominal pain, dyspepsia, reflux, GI bleeding, Treatment of Gallstones, Laparoscopic Choleycystectomy, Lap Abdominal hernia and Inguinal hernia repair.
Upper GI Benign– investigation of Dysphagia, Hiatal hernia, Achalasia, Bariatric Surgery and anti-reflux surgery.
Upper GI Malignant – management of Upper GI Cancer (oesophageal, gastric carcinoma), Investigation of dysphagia, weight loss, Barretts oesophagus, minimally invasive gastrectomy and oesophagectomy
Endoscopy – Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy / and direct access endoscopy
